INTRODUCTION TO ACTIVE-LIFESTYLES & MULTI-ACTIVITY
WEEKEND.
Location : Glenmore Lodge, Cairngorm National
Park, Scotland.

An introduction to a range of inclusive outdoor activities,
including handcycling, open canoeing, kayaking and orienteering.
The weekend will be based at the National Mountain Centre in the
heart of the Cairngorm mountains, with professional coaching, support
and equipment to help you experience a range of exciting outdoor
sports and develop your skills and confidence.

ORIENTEERING with a difference.
Location : Glenmore Area, Cairngorm National
Park.
Supported by : Equal Adventure Developments & SportScotland
Sportsmatch in partnership with the John Muir Trust.
Develop your navigational skills, both internally
and externally.
This week of adventure based in the Cairngorm National Park, is
a unique opportunity to combine outdoor activity with personal
discovery.
Come prepared to join in a blend of practical activities (including
map-reading and orienteering) with activities to promote reflection
and group discussion. You will develop skills to help you
navigate through the forest and through life and together we will
plan a permanent Trail-Orienteering course, so that other visitors
to the area can enjoy orienteering regardless of their mobility
challenges.

SEA KAYAKING.
Location : The beautiful islands of the Outer
Hebrides, Scotland.
Supported by : Equal Adventure Developments & SportScotland
Sportsmatch in partnership with the John Muir Trust.
Explore the coastline of the Hebrides by sea kayak
as an inclusive group. The 7 day course will provide participants
with the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the Scottish
marine and coastal environment as well as gain a greater level
of independence to participate in sea kayaking regardless of disability.
(Kayaking is the perfect medium for equal participation). Coaches
and facilitators have a keen interest in equality and ecology as
well as an understanding of the local culture.

HANDCYCLING.
Location : Perthshire, Wester Caputh Independent
Hostel, near Dunkeld.
A weekend to continue the INTERVENTURE annual handcycling
meet, and explore the lanes & lochs of Perthshire (hopefully
to include a ride around Loch Rannoch). The weekend will be based
at an accessible bunkhouse with supported day rides at a range
of levels to suit beginner, intermediate and advanced cyclists.
We also hope to hold an AGM at some point over the weekend to help
plan 2005 events.
