Expedition Leadership Professional Practice

The Expedition Leadership (Online ) Course provides the theoretical underpinning of the role and actions of undertaking the role of Expedition Leader. Its purpose is to help Expedition leaders understand the tasks, attributes, actions and behaviours of the role, develop their critical appreciation of the theoretical elements and assist in laying a framework for future and wider development of the skills and learning.

Delivered online, through lessons, video, and activity, the course can be undertaken at the learner's pace, and can build progressively alongside their development of other skills and knowledge.

The courses are aimed at anyone who is looking to develop their expedition leadership. This could be those delivering Duke of Edinburgh awards, cadet adult volunteers, scout leaders, or teachers leading their own expeditions, experienced expedition leaders across the schools or commercial markets, outdoor practitioners, scientific field work leaders, and mountain guides, and is suitable for novices and experienced leaders.
