He has led expeditions across the globe to all biomes, with young people, adults, from scientists to tourists. He has also worked in expedition operations and development, as a specialist High Risk Safety advisor for expeditions, the expedition sector and for the TV and Film sector. An experienced and sought-after trainer, delivering adventure sports programmes, health & safety training, expedition skills and Leadership training. James is also a respected lecturer, an emerging academic and a soon-to-be-published researcher. He has lectured on several Outdoor Degree programmes, holds a BA in Outdoor leadership, and an MA in Outdoor Practice, studying the behaviours of expedition leaders and their development.
