The Armadillo is a versatile product ideal for people who may require support and assistance with seated balance, and can be used for various water sport activities.
It can also be used as a transfer surface which is easily adjustable to an individual, using the colour-coordinated straps. This makes it quicker and easier to transfer in and out of outdoor equipment, like canoes, comfortably. Transfers can be supported by other EA Development products such as the Stacking Steps, as EA Developments understands that every aspect of outdoor activities should be as comfortable and easy as possible. The Armadillo offers support for preparing for multiple activities, including transferring into a KITE 3.0 Harness and donning a Personal Floatation Device. It can also be used as an outdoor changing space, either seated or flat, allowing you to get out of wet clothes quicker, and more comfortably. The Armadillo can also be a completely flat surface if it is ever needed for additional support in certain situations.
EA Developments offers value to customers while respecting the environment, and being as sustainable as possible. The Armadillo has sustainable features including foam chippings that make up the padding. This is made from foam cut-offs from various other EA Development products that are put through a foam chipper to be used in the Armadillo as back and base support. This is a sustainable alternative to other products that are commonly used for padding and support, and uses up a resource that may have otherwise ended up in landfill. It has even improved the product, as the foam chippings offer a firmer support than many alternatives, and the padding can be easily altered to fit an individual's preference of firmness. The Armadillo’s outside layer, attached to the body of the Armadillo with a strong velcro, can be removed when it is worn out and taken back to the EA Developments factory to be repaired or replaced. This makes sure that when the outer layer receives more wear and tear, the whole product does not need to be thrown away or repaired. Through this EA Developments encourage a sustainable approach of repairing and recycling, and support their own environmental values.
