The Jewel of Arabia Expedition

AllTerrain everybodyoutdoors inclusion inclusiveadventure outdooractivity participation

On the cusp of the field launch of the Jewel of Arabia Expedition the Equal Adventure Team would like to wish all success to the expedition team. With many thanks to the generosity of His Royal Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham, Equal Adventure is honoured to support the Jewel of Arabia Expedition and to supply our new Boma 8 to support the education and legacy goals of this 30-day expedition. The Youth Development Organisation, Outward Bound Oman, will use the Boma for their personal development outdoor courses. The Boma 8 will help ensure that Outward Bound Oman is able to lead the way in inclusion, outdoor education, expedition and fieldwork in the Arab world. Over the past eight months, the EA team in Scotland have created the Boma 8 for desert and expedition use. This adds to the existing Equal Adventure All Terrain range and provides the ability for all to travel in the desert and remote regions for adventure and fieldwork.

Oman is rich in biodiversity and natural heritage, and the six explorers, led by Mark Evans, will tell stories about amazing places and inspire people along the way. Through social media, podcasts, and photography, they will also shed light on the young people working hard to give Oman a sustainable and accessible future.

Equal Adventure looks forward to supporting this expedition by helping people to tell more inclusive stories and inspire engagement with geography and field sciences. At Equal Adventure, we believe that inclusion and sustainability are one and the same.  The EA team is delighted to support the Jewel of Arabia Expedition with goals and their legacy of inspiring sustainability through meaningful engagement with the outdoors.

The Jewel of Arabia Expedition will begin on January 6th 2025, and you can follow their course here.
